Fellowship

Fellowship is like a trunk that binds us together.
It brings cheer to our parish life and brings us the support we need.

In our parish, fellowship has two dimensions: sharing our faith and growing within a small group, and coming together with other parishioners to socialise or to take action.

Come Together by joining a parish group!

At Christ the King we place emphasis on coming together as a Church family. This brings us together to strengthen the bonds that we have with each other.

There are a number of groups that support the parish in different ways. There are programmes for adults that include the BT Club, the CWL, the Knights of St Columba, and others for younger members of our Parish including the Youth Group and the Young Adults 18-30 Group amongst others. Our parish also holds events that take place throughout the year, such as gatherings or dinners, that contribute towards building a friendly atmosphere in the community.

Cockfosters Sharing Groups

In our Parish we emphasise the importance of fellowship and we have a number of small sharing groups to support this - Cockfosters Sharing Groups (CSGs).

We believe that a Christian community is strengthened by supporting one another in friendship and prayer. Sharing our joys and difficulties helps us to build a strong Christian community.

The purpose of these small groups is to grow in faith through personal sharing of our lives in the light of the scriptures. They ate for everyone: singles, couples or divorced, elderly or young and they are made up of 7 to 10 people who meet once every three or four weeks.

Launch evening - Saturday 30 September 6.30 to 8.30pm (Cheese and wine provided).

I have been a parishioner for 12 years at Christ the King and I am part of the welcome team and the Cockfosters Sharing Group.
It is like being part of a big family, all with the same goal and the same Father, which is what our faith is all about.
— Romano, Parishioner
That Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, as you are being rooted and grounded in love. I pray that you may have the power to comprehend, with all the saints, what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
— Ephesians 3:17
