Anointing of the Sick & Last Rites
The New Testament asks us to pray for the sick, and to anoint them with oil as a sign of encouragement and to aid recovery.
It is our mission at Christ the King to support the weak members of our parish community while they are ill, and to be close to members of the parish as they near the end of their lives.
Details
Anointing of the sick is available at home, care home or hospital. Priests from across North London attend local hospitals as part of a rota. One of the priests from Christ the King attends Barnet Hospital on Saturdays.
Last rites for those who are close to death is available. The ministers will be able to hear confession and provide communion for the sick and dying.
