Cockfosters
Cockfosters
Cockfosters, 2014, I will always remember
You have seen my first steps as a young minister
North London , Piccadilly line, last stop
the house market, clearly, over the top
You’ll see an interesting building, like a biscuit factory,
If you don’t know it, let me tell you the story
I guess it has been a great, adventure
Everyone will confirm it, in the queue, at the butcher
Started with the Benedictines in 1936
When on a high tower appeared a big red crucifix
I heard it has been built for someone like a king
And no link has been made with a freaky viking
Anyway, from the rising of the sun to its setting
You will be warmly received for laughing and praying
The welcome team will be ready, to look after you,
Each one has his place, please do come and be part of the crew
Even if you turn up out of the blue
you will be at home for the summer barbecue.
Cockfosters, terrific atmosphere
It’s like, living on another stratosphere
Not a space for competition
But rather the right spot for full completion
Just one thing, don’t speak too much about football
Or, the sick list could see your name in the entrance hall
Cockfosters real place of diversity
Cockfosters place for all humanity
Africa, Asia, Europe, America
Even sometimes people from Canada
Many accents, colors and cultures
The good mix for amazing pictures
Fingers crossed you can cope with curry
Whatever, the main point here, is to share our faith as Church family
