How we cope with grief ourselves and how we can help others.

This day is for anyone who is interested in understanding bereavement and in supporting others. David will be using informal, interactive teaching methods to appreciate the sensitive nature of grief and bereavement. Please note that the day is not geared as therapeutic support for those very recently bereaved, although there will be some personal reflection time.

Professor David Oliviere is a social worker, educator and counsellor, specialising in the psycho-social aspects of hospice and palliative care. He currently practises as a couple and bereavement counsellor and teaches and supervises palliative care staff. He has long been active in our parish.
